This page aims to give you all the relevant and up to date information about homework in Swallowtails class. Children will receive weekly, ability related tasks to complete in their own time. However, if the children are finding something difficult or need to use some resources in class which may not be readily available at home, please feel free to ask either Miss Day or Mr Burt for help.
Homework will be set each week and will be either English or maths based.
During a normal week you are expected to complete the following tasks:
- Reading – Reading should be recorded in your diary, which should be brought into school every day. Children are expected to read at home at least three times per week. Children are allowed to record their own reading achievements at home but an adult must sign to verify their reading.
- Times tables – You should practise your current times tables with an adult. FAB Challenges will be tested on Fridays.
- Spellings/English – Either English based or a spelling based task will be given out every other Friday to be returned on the following Tuesday. If you have any questions about this task, please see either Miss Day or Mr Burt.
- Maths – A maths based task will be given out every other Friday to be returned the following Tuesday. If you have any questions about this task, please see either Miss Day or Mr Burt.
