Welcome to the Year 5/6 Homework Section

During a normal week you are expected to complete the following tasks:

º Reading - should be neatly recorded in your reading diary (at least 3 times per week). Please ask an adult to sign your reading diary.

º Spellings - an activity will be given out each week.

º Times Tables - you should practise your current times table, or division facts with an adult.

º English, Maths or Topic Tasks - these will be given out each week. Mrs Allonby will let you know how long you have to complete the tasks.

º All homework must be completed neatly in the orange homework book (unless told otherwise). Worksheets should not be stuck in but clear headings and numbering should make it clear which work you were completing (you don't need to write every question out).

º Make sure all work is neatly dated and underlined and cursive writing is used through-out.

º If you don't understand your homework, please ask Mrs Allonby at least a few days before it is due in.

º Uncompleted homework will be finished at break or lunch times during the week.

Easter Homework

There will be no homework for the Year 5 children, other than the normal expectations of reading and taking some time to play the games on our website, visit the links we have put up, and have a fun break.

Year 6 children have all been given some example SATs papers to practice at home. These are optional to complete but will be beneifical in helping the children feel more relaxed and confident about the style of questions they will have in the real SATs. They do not need to be sat under test conditions and parents/carers are strongly encouraged to help support with any of the questions if needed.

I have put up some links below to the various mark schemes. Any questions please ask Mrs Allonby.

Have a great Easter!!
