Autumn

When the parents came to lunch & Celebration of Learning

Skippers have been very lucky this week and had visits from people who help. On Wednesday Helen Redgrave came in to speak to us about being a Vet and why her job is so important and we got to meet Nibbles, the hamster.

On Thursday Derrick and Annie came in from Canine Partners, along with Hero and Mabel the assistance dogs. We were told all about the wonderful work assistance dogs do with people who have a disability or are too poorly to look after themselves.

Friday morning Dr Sopowski-Scott visited us with her equipment she uses to assess what is wrong with people. The children were very engaged and all had a listen to their own heartbeat.

Friday afternoon we welcomed Mrs Webb, a Vetinary Nurse, who told us about working in theatre with animals. The children were excited to dress up as Vets and bandaged their poorly animals they had brought in.

Thank you so much to all our visitors this week. We have had a wonderful time finding out about people who help us.
