I would like to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Lockerley Endowed Church of England Primary School and I want like to say that I am so thrilled to be the Headteacher of your Primary School. This role has been an ambition of mine for quite some time now and I am genuinely very excited.
Since my appointment in July, I have visited the school several times and have been very impressed by the atmosphere; especially the warm welcome I have received from the children, staff and governors. The previous Headteacher, Jamie Dodson, did a super job and I know the staff work so hard to provide the best for your child. Everyone associated with Lockerley Primary should be proud of what has been achieved here and it is a priviledge to be intrusted with the job of leading your school and continuing this great work.
Rest assured, I will work tirelessly to ensure the school continues to flourish and maintains it’s welcoming family feel for the children. I have strong beliefs that a child’s time at a primary school should be about having rich and varied experiences in all areas of the curriculum – in a setting where everyone feels valued, safe and secure so that they have the confidence to try something new and develop a love of learning. Happy children make the best learners.
Having worked in other very successful Hampshire schools, I have some ideas of how Lockerley can continue to improve, but I am planning to build on the solid foundations already in place so do not expect to see major changes in the short term. I feel it is important that we work together to make sure our school serves the needs of our young people in our community. I hope that many of you will get involved in the life of the school as much as possible as it is only by working together that we can make sure your sons and daughters enjoy school and develop the skills and knowledge they need to make very good progress and build successful, happy lives.
I look forward to meeting you in the coming weeks so please do come and introduce yourselves to me and say hello.
Mrs K. Kwiatek
