Autumn 2

Skippers and Admirals present the Twinkly Nativity. We all worked so hard to learn the songs and our parts. The shows were amazing and we had so much fun performing the show to our grown ups.

Skippers really enjoyed when Vicar James came to visit us. He talked to us all about advent and how Christians count down to Christmas.

We had a lovely time exploring Mottisfont on Friday afternoon. We loved looking around the gardens and playing with the leaves. We then went into the house which was filled with amazing lights and Christmas trees based on 'The Nutcracker'.

We were thinking about emotions in PSHE and had to try and show on our faces how we might be feeling with different emotions. We really enjoyed pretending to be angry!

Skippers class had so much fun playing in the snow. We wrapped up warm and tried to catch a snowflake in our mouths. We then came inside and made some paper snowflakes inspired by our fun in the morning!

Skippers class have had an exciting week. We arrived each morning to paw prints around school and have been on the hunt for which creature it might be. We arrived on Friday to a messy classroom and a letter from Mrs Clark about some sightings of a mysterious creature we needed to investigate. We worked hard trying to work out what it could be and went on a hunt outside to look at the evidence. This afternoon a strange envelope was dropped off at school. We opened it to find a letter from The Gruffalo who said he had been the creature visiting our school each night, he even stole some biscuits on his visit... We have really enjoyed the story and have been super detectives this week!

We have started our new topic of 'Festivals' by looking at Bonfire Night. We discussed all the different coloured fireworks we have seen. We then made our own fireworks in the glitter tray and using chalk on black paper.
