Christmas Festivities
We had such a fantastic time celebrating Christmas. Throughout December, we took part in lots of different activities in Skippers and as a whole school. We particularly enjoyed having Christmas dinner wearing the party hats we made.
RE- Exploring Christmas
Today we thought about how we all celebrate Christmas and the different activities or traditions we all do. We then looked at what Christians might do to celebrate before having a go at taking part in some of those activities ourselves. We retold the nativity story, made cards, made decorations, created paperchains and sung some Christmas songs.
Mottisfont
We enjoyed a whole school trip to Mottisfont. It was decorated for Christmas with a theme of Cinderella. Despite the rain, we explored the gardens and had so much fun trying to find all the fairy doors to see what was hidden behind. We then visited the house which took us through the story of Cinderella and the Prince. We all had such a brilliant time on our first school trip!
RE- Birthday Party
In our RE lesson this week we have been thinking about birthdays. We found out it was Mr Rainbow Monster's birthday, so we decided to celebrate it with him. We thought about what we might need to help us celebrate and have a birthday party before getting to work. We made cards, decorations, presents and food. We then sang Happy Birthday and talked about why birthdays feel special.
We ended by having a little party complete with a dance to some of our favourite music. We had such a great time celebrating and making the day special.
