We have enjoyed relaxing in the autumnal sunshine to make nature faces. In pairs we had to create faces using the natural resources around us. We then had the challenge of creating a friend for our face in only 5 minutes. We ended by creating a gallery to give us the opportunity to view one another's work. What amazing creations we produced!

Today Skippers Class visited our local Church for the first time. We enjoyed a sunny walk down and then a snack before heading inside. We had a tour round and even got to try out the microphone. We also got to see our seats for Church services. 

This week we enjoyed being detectives in nature by taking part in a colour hunt. In teams, we each had a colour we were searching for and had to find natural resources which matched our colour. We then discussed why some colours were easier to find than others. 

In our first outdoor learning session we enjoyed teaming up to complete a treasure hunt. We all had a checklist of items to find and set off in our outdoor environment to find them. We found some a lot trickier than others which we think was due to the changes in the season.

We have had a fun first week in Skippers Class!  We have met all our new friends, got to know our school and explored our classroom environment. We had been getting stuck into lots of activities and have really enjoyed becoming part of Lockerley School!
