Summer 1
Admirals have enjoyed their topic called ‘Commotion in the Ocean’. They have written some fantastic under the sea stories. They have enjoyed weaving pictures of rainbow fish and have also created some amazing paintings and models of underwater scenes. Some of them even had moving parts! In maths, they have been learning about counting is steps of two, five or ten. They have begun to think about multiplication and division. They have used their knowledge of coins to set up shops during their discovery time.
We really enjoyed our class visit to Sea City Museum to learn about the Titanic. We took part in a workshop where we learned about the life boats, the different rooms (and smells!) on board, handled some historical artefacts and tried on some costumes. We then had a look around the museum before our guided tour.
Our RE learning for this half term focuses on special things for different religions. As part of this, we each brought our own special things in from home to share with the class.
