Autumn 2

We created posters about the importance historically of The Magna Carta, the children then viewed others posters to 'borrow' ideas and to question some of the points raised on the posters.

The children completed the cam toys, packaged them, wrote advertisements for them and then shared the final products with KS1 children. The younger children were tasked with evaluating the toys, and they gave very honest opinions.

The children have been investigating cams and their use within toys. The children are in groups designing prototypes of their cam toys.

Emperors have been using different representations for division, we have been focusing on out use of sentence stems to explain the steps involved.

As part of our Inter-Faith learning, Emperors were learning about Buddhism.

Using our outdoor space to learn about active and passive voice.

We have been using our knowledge of homophones to race through a loop game. The children then went on to write a War poem including rhyme and homophones.

As part of our Remembrance Day learning Year 6 produced some incredible artwork, they will be on display at St Johns Church, Lockerley

In History the children have continued to explore the question 'Is change a good thing?' They took delivery of an interesting box containing some exquisite items, who did they belong to?
