Summer 1

Athletics with Admirals class - The children set up different stations for Admirals class to practise their running, throwing and jumping. Emperors class made sure to explain how to be safe and good techniques. Much fun was had by all.

Taking the learning outdoors - a great use of our new Nature Nook.

Computing - Using Crumble, the children were able to program their names in different colours to slide across the unit and have just learnt how to program for the much-loved game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

English - We are reading Street Child. To assist with our understanding of language and how it can be used for different characters, the children matched informal words to their formal counterpart alongside definitions.

Science - Air Resistance investigation. The children investigated running, running with a coat, running with a blanket and running with a flat piece of card. Did they feel any difference? Why? Now they are going to use this information to make their own parachute.
