Basketball Coaching

!0 children spent the morning at Test Valley school taking part in some basketball coaching run by the sports leaders at the school. After the children had been mixed up into different groups they all ran through a variety of warm up games.

After this they moved onto the coaching sessions which included passing, dribbling and shooting. There was then a short break to re-hydrate and have a quick bag of raisins before going back into the sports hall for the second part.

The sports leaders then refereed some mini  4 v 4 matches for the children where they got to apply all their coaching in a match situation.

The children were impeccably behaved. They all learnt a lot and are feeling confident and fired up for the basketball competition that takes places on the 21st February - letters for the team to follow shorty.
