Gymnastics

Over the past two weeks myself, Mrs Allonby, Miss Day and Miss Hynes have attended an Intermediate Primary course for gymnastics which will enable us to teach a variety of inversions to children during our gymnastic weeks. To pass the course we needed to learn how to support children and how to teach the skills necessary to children of all ages to help them progress in their gymnastic learning. We even had to join in by doing headstands, handstands, forward and backward rolls, cartwheels and vaulting over people! Lets just say we were quite achy on the following days. Make sure you keep an eye out for our next gymnastic weeks so you will be able to see the children applying some of these skills in their performances. See pictures below for proof of our hard work!
