  • Murphy's Blog

    Tue 15 Mar 2016 Murphy
    Hi there,

So today I was with green group in Admirals, and first of all, I heard about Old Seth the flea who wanted to show the other fleas that he could jump as high as a horse!  I'm getting wriggly just thinking about fleas - are you?

Next I heard The Chamber of Treasures, where Max, Cat, Ant and Tiger are inside the pyramid trying to find Nok.  There are ruby cages full of treasure, and Nok is trapped in a cage!   You'll have to read it to find out how he escapes!

Lastly, I listened to Dog Overboard where Bones the dog was barrel-walking and got swept overboard.  He drifted onto an island and had to make a lookout and a bonfire to signal to people that he was there.  Poor Bones!  I hope he found something good to eat until he was rescued.  If I was on a desert island, I'd go fishing for my dinner!  I love fish!

  • Gymnastics Performance

Fri 11 Mar 2016 Miss Banks

Today Emperors performed an outstanding gymnastics routine. They worked very hard all week to challenge themselves and achieve new moves they had not performed before. They performed a staggering 4 times to different audiences today and I think it is fair to say they could be a little tired tonight! I certainly from just watching them and of course demonstrating all of the gym moves to them!

  • Mother's Day Gift Shop

Thu 03 Mar 2016 Julie Black
All the children in school had the opportunity this morning to buy a surprise gift for their mum.  Members of St. John's Church kindly supplied gifts for the children to buy for 50p.  The children came into the hall very excitedly and chose something special for their mum. We would like to thank the members for giving up their time to run the shop, wrap the presents and assist with special labels.  We also had our two year 6 Ben's assisting with excellent wrapping skills.  The presents have now been taken home and will be kept a secret until Sunday - remember, mum's the word!!
  • World Book Week

A fantastic effort was made by everyone who dressed up today. We had a huge variety of book characters from Alice in Wonderland to dalmatians and even the BFG. Everyone made a huge effort with their costumes. Take a look at some of the photographs below. Thank you all for taking part.
  • Murphy's Visit

    Tue 01 Mar 2016 Murphy
    Hi there

So today I sat on the rug with the Admirals again.  I sat in Freddie's place.  Luckily he wasn't there otherwise he would've been squashed!

I listened to The Crystal Planet, where Max needed a damage report about the space ship.  Then I heard The Playroom, which was a selection of short chapters.  I found out all about motte and bailey castles, then I learned even more!  In Amazing Whales, I learned that whales have blow holes to breathe through, and that baleen whales have teeth in their mouths which look like combs!

Finally, in The Horse Prince, the Queen called for the doctor to try and break the spell put on Prince Axel to stop him neighing like a horse.  I hope it worked!
