  • Readathon

Wed 03 Dec 2014 Miss Banks

Thank you for all of your generous sponsorship for the children's Readathon challenge. We have now collected and counted all of the sponsorship money and we will be sending it off to the charities involved which include ReadWell, Roald Dahl's Charity, CLIC Sargent and Together for Short Lives. In total we raised £139.00 and a special well done goes to Callum, Arthur, Henry A, Freddie, Keir, Lily F, Alfie and Primrose for being fantastic readers and collecting the most sponsorship money. All of those involved will receive a certificate and a special something in celebration assembly on Friday 12th December.

If you missed out on this Readathon there will be another Read for My School in the spring term.

  • WWII Museum

Tue 02 Dec 2014 Mrs Allonby

The children have worked hard this half term studying about the life of children during WWII. They have experienced an evacuation on our evacuation day and had a visit to an air raid shelter. With the support of parents the children have been able to bring in treasured items from family members that were part of the war or alive during that time. The half terms work has all been building up to a WWII museum in which the children set up their own exhibits and also showed their Prezi’s about WWII, which they created in computing. A fantastic effort by all of them and the pictures show all of our fun. Please visit Emperors class page to see the photos.
