  • Easter Service

Thu 24 Mar 2016 Miss Banks

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Easter Church Service this morning. Each class made a contribution to the service including songs, art work and letters. All of the narrators did a fantastic job too of retelling the Easter story!

Don't forget to visit the chuch over the Easter weekend to see how the church changes and to join in with many of the Easter services.

We hope you all have a lovely safe and restful Easter break and we will see you back at school on Tuesday 12th April.

    Tue 22 Mar 2016 Murphy
    Hi

I stretched out on the rug with some of the Admirals today.  My legs are so long that I stretched from i for igloo to l for leaf!  I made myself very low - I can always concentrate better that way.

First of all, I listened to A Shock for Mini, where there's an amazing theme park, but you have to shrink to get in!

Next I heard Ant's Pact, where Ant makes a deal with the Akwans, and then Minibeasts About! where I learned all sorts of amazing facts like the fact that a hoverfly can stay still in mid-air when he's showing off to a female.

Lastly I listened to Dog Overboard, where at last, Bones the dog spotted a ship in the distance called The Black Beast.  I hope they'd come to save him!  Poor Bones!

    Keep reading at Easter!

  • Sport Relief

Fri 18 Mar 2016 Mr Dodson
The staff and children have had such an amazing day raising money for Sport Relief. All the children have taken part in a 'danceathon' and 'wheelathon' and Admirals performed their gym display. We also had an amazing response to the Great Lockerley Bake Off and the effort that all entrants went to was simply stunning. I even managed to run an incredible 5km but a huge thanks goes to Mrs Appleby who organised the day with the help of her SSOC club. Not only was the day expertly run but Mrs Appleby also ran 20.5 miles around the school grounds!! It was fantastic to see many of the children supporting her and running the course with her. Also, congratulations to Nightingale who were crowned the inter house netball champions. Miss Banks is working on another Sport Relief video that will be able to be viewed shortly in this latest news section.
  • The Great Lockerley Bake Off

Fri 18 Mar 2016 Miss Banks

A huge thank you to everyone that took part in 'The Great Lockerley Bake Off'. There were 24 cakes in total and it is fair to say that both Mr Dodson and Nanny are very full up from trying a piece of each one! It was a tough decision to make as they all looked fabulous but there had to be one winner. The two runner's up were Mrs Black with her delicious chocolate trophy shield and Maddie and Harry's scrumptious chocolate sports day cake. They both won a bake off book. The winner, with a very impressive football cake, was Callum, who won a recipe book to help him with more of his baking. There was a great variety from gluten free to coca cola flavoured cakes so once again thank you to everyone that came and purchased a cake afterwards.

A total of the amount raised will be coming soon...

  • Vicar James' Colective Worship

Thu 17 Mar 2016 Miss Banks
Today we had some extra visitors in for our weekly Vicar James collective worship. In collective worship today we listened to the story of Lazarus. Some children helped out with the acting and everyone joined in with shouting some parts of the story. Below are some pictures of the fabulous performance.

    Hi there
So today I sat on the rug with Admirals from K for kite to Q for queen and first of all, I heard Ghost Tricks, and guess what? The teacher in the book was asking the children to paint the old manor house in the village, and her name was Miss Murphy!  That's my name!
Next I listened to The Hunt for Nok, who had been kidnapped!
After that, I listened to a dog story - my favourite kind of story! It was called Dog Overboard, where Bones the sea dog was barrel-walking and a wave came over him and he fell into the sea!
