• Staff Promise - Decorating Biscuits and a Movie

  Sophie, Primrose, Alfie, Henry, Grace and Dylan spent a lovely morning making and decorating biscuits with Mrs Kay and Mrs Barnes. There were some very artistic efforts and they looked too good to eat, although several of us forced ourselves to! We then got in the Christmas mood watching the classic Muppet Christmas Carol.  

  

• Father Christmas visits Skippers and Admirals

  Skippers and Admirals were excited to receive a visit from Father Christmas today. He stopped off at school on his way to the North Pole to pack his sleigh full of presents. Luckily Skippers and Admirals were on the nice list. Thank you for visiting Father Christmas. We will make sure we go to bed extra early on Christmas Eve. 

  

• Beaulieu Victorian Christmas

  Today the children went to Beaulieu National Motor Museum to visit the Palace House and Grounds to see what it would be like to work as a child in Victorian times either as a footman, house maid or kitchen maid. The children learnt about the different jobs they would have had to have done and what each job entailed. After lunch we gathered around the fireplace to watch a traditional mummers play and to sing Christmas carols. A very festive day indeed with beautifully behaved children. • McDonalds Staff Promise

  Alexis and Barnaby were the winners of the Staff Promise to McDonalds. All of the children were very well behaved and nearly ate all of their lunch up. A absolute delight to take to lunch. 

  

• Ice Skating Staff Promise

  Mrs Black and myself had the pleasure of taking our staff promise winners Tilly and Emmie, along with their friends Ellie and Grace, ice skating this afternoon.

  Beginning the adventure with a trip on the bus, having used the park and ride, we happily made our way through the Winchester Christmas Market to the ice rink. We got the girls kitted out with boots and after a nervous circuit of the rink all clinging to the side for support the girls gradually became more confident. Letting go to move round gaps and people they soon were able to let go for long periods of time and ventured into the middle to hit, sometimes literally with their bottoms, the smooth ice!

  They all really loved the ice skating and despite having very wet trousers, even managed to enjoy their hot chocolates at the end! Beautifully behaved and very grateful for their promise we look forward to the 100 tickets they are each going to buy to try and win again next year!!!

• Inter-House In the News Challenge

  On Friday 1st December the whole school tackled the Inter-House in the News Challenge. Everyone had lots of fun and were able to win lots of points for their house. As well as winning points, everyone worked as a team in their houses. For the Skippers it was their first Inter-House challenge and they were amazing! Sadly, for the Year 6's it was their last In the News Challenge. Everyone behaved exceptionally well and Miss Hynes did a great job at organising the event. Take a look at our photos below.
