  • The Wizard of Oz

    Tue 21 Jul 2015

At a previous school council meeting it was suggested that we had another pantomime visit our school due to the last one, at Christmas, being very popular. This morning we had 'The Wizard of Oz'. All of the children sat beautifully throughout the performance and had there eyes glued to the stage to see Dorothy and her friends put on a fantastic show. There was a huge applaud at the end for their fantastic efforts and a great time was had by all.

  • Admirals and Skippers Pirate Week

Wed 15 Jul 2015 Miss Banks and Miss Jackson

This week Admirals and Skippers have had an exciting week being pirates. On Monday and Tuesday we had our pirate themed dance days where we danced to music from 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. We had great fun and the audience loved it! We even sang a pirate song to finish.

On Wednesday of this week we went on a walk around Lockerley village to have our very own pirate picnic. We scared a few people along the way with our fantastic outfits and we even found treasure on Lockerley Green!

  • Murphy's Visit

    Fri 10 Jul 2015
    Hi there

So today I made myself all comfy and stretched out on the mat with the class, and I noticed that some of the older children were reading with the younger ones.  What a good idea!  There were so many stories being read, I didn't know which one to listen to!

I decided to concentrate on The Secret Cave.  I love caves - I always like to sniff caves for pirate treasure!  Then I heard about Dirty Bertie getting messy with chocolate and I heard a mystery story - The Mystery of the Missing Finger!  How did that happen?  You'll have to read it to find out!

    See you next time

    love Murphy

It was a beautiful summer's evening on Friday for the annual Lockerley Primary School Bizarre Bazaar. Everyone turned out to raise money for the school; by spending on the year 5/6 stalls; the tombola; the raffle; and the barbecue. Thank you to everyone who helped out on the evening and check next week's newsletter to find out how much we raised.
  • Bug Hotel!

Fri 03 Jul 2015 Miss Jackson

Gardening Club with the support of Mr and Mrs Kay, have worked hard to collect materials to build a Bug Hotel in the school grounds.  They really enjoyed filling the spaces between the pallets with leaves, bark, bricks and sticks to create different habitats for minibeasts to make thier homes.  Please come and see their hard work but watch our for creepy crawlies!

More pictures can be found on the Clubs Page.
