  This afternoon in collective worship we were joined by Keren from Romsey Young Carers. A few weeks ago Keren came in for one of our School Council meetings to talk to the children about what a young carer is. Since then each class has generated ideas for potential fundraising days / events to help raise money for this local charity. We will invite Keren back when the School Council have met again to decide on a final fundraising event. • Test Valley Basketball Tournament

  Five children from Emperors went to Test Valley yesterday for a basketball tournament. A few weeks ago they had a successful basketball coaching session where they could learn the skills and techniques of the game. We had a tough six games with schools in the cluster. We eventually came fourth after winning 4 out of the 6 games we played. The result was extremely close with the judges having to look at basket difference to determine the final winners. Thank you to Mrs Kirkham who came along to support too.
