This afternoon we held Sharing Christmas. Everyone was invited into class to enjoy a mince pie and share their child's learning over this half term.  Then the adults were offered a glass of mulled wine and we all came into the hall, to sing some fun Christmas carols. This included Sebastien and Lucy playing 'We wish you a Merry Christmas' on the guitar and the teachers 'attempting' to play Jingle Bells on the boom wakers!

Yesterday we welcomed members from Lockerley community into school to have lunch with the children. Pupils from Emperors Class sat with the adults for lunch and then we invited them to play board games with the children. It was a wonderful atmosphere with conversations flowing and laughter all round.

Thank you for joining us for lunch and brightening up our day on a very wet and windy lunchtime.

  • Christmas Nativity

    Fri 13 Dec 2019

This week all children in YR, 1 and 2 performed ‘The Nativity’. It was a wonderful performance with all children singing and dancing. We are so proud of the children. They have worked incredibly hard over the past few weeks preparing for the performances. They did a dress rehearsal on Tuesday to the whole school and we invited the local nurseries. On Wednesday they did 2 performances to parents. Each performance was slightly different but wonderful and full of charm!

Our attention now turns to the Summer Production which Swallowtails and Emperors class will preform in. The title is still a closely guarded secret but watch this space!

  • Football Competition

    Wed 11 Dec 2019

Last week our Football Team attended a football competition at Wallop Primary School. The children played really well and showed excellent team spirit. We won 4 games and lost 2. At the end of the competition when all the teams came together, we were told it was very close between the teams. There were 3 teams in third position so they had to count back on goal difference. We are really pleased to say the Lockerley came third and were awarded bronze medals.

Thank you to Wallop for hosting the event and for Mrs Cavill who supervised the team at the event.

  • Christmas Fair

    Fri 06 Dec 2019

Thank you for everyone who came to our Christmas Fair. It was a fantastic event with lots of smiling faces. There were games run by Emperors’ Class, craft stalls, face painting and even Father Christmas popped along to read a story to the children.  Thank you to Glee Club and to Pocket Theatre for singing. There was a lovely Christmas atmosphere in the hall. Thank you also to the staff and PTA for all their hard work in putting the event together. We couldn't have done it without you!
